Current Obsession: Trains

Ding dong...the witch is dead. Well, for starters I was never a witch, and secondly, I'm not dead. Just took a way extended break from blogging. Sigh. I know you missed me. But, I promise (I am somewhat the queen of broken promises, don't judge) to at least put something interesting up here at least a couple times a week. Do you believe me!? Let's start this off right with some random stuff I'm currently in love with/obsessed with from around the world wide web (do peeps still call it that!?). Current obsession: Trains.
Okay, to say I am currently obsessed with trains is kind of a lie. I've always had a little thing for trains. They just seem so regal, posh, old-timey and awesome. Yes, before there were peanuts and in-flight movies, there were dinner cars and cabooses.

On a train, you see things that you wouldn't get to see by flight. Maybe it takes you hours longer to get somewhere, but there are several epic train trips around the world. This photo documents the breathtaking views of the Glacier Express which chugs along through Switzerland.

It's been my longtime cheesy dream to walk down deserted train tracks. Imagine the cute photo opps. Like this cute couple with their wedding photos.

Train stations ooze romance. Whenver I think of trains stations, I think of all the people coming and going and the millions of great love stories that must have been made or broken there. People likely say things like, "Meet me at the clock at noon if you love me." This probably only happens in movies, but hey, a gal can hope. Whatever, it could definitely happen. Dr. Zchivago anybody? But, if you don't believe that romance happens in train stations, guess what? I saw someone get married in Grand Central Terminal a couple weeks back. Adorable!
